Health and Safety Education
For nearly a century, the American Red Cross has been saving lives through health and safety education and training. From first aid, CPR and bloodborne pathogens training to swimming and lifeguarding, and Babysitter's Training, American Red Cross programs help people lead safer and healthier lives. The Red Cross constantly strives to respond to the health and safety concerns of Americans at home, in school and in the workplace. Today's innovative programs also include teaching lay persons and professionals how to use automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to save victims of sudden cardiac arrest. Last year, nearly 12 million people enrolled in American Red Cross health and safety courses.

Over the past 90 years, the Scenic Bluffs Chapter has been ready to help the citizens in our area prepare for, prevent a d respond to disasters. We are on call around the clock, 365 days a year assisting those whose lives have been impacted by fire or any natural disaster. Most recently we deployed more than 80 local residents to the gulf coast area to support disaster response needs as a result of the hurricanes.
